Haley Smith is a versatile and expressive pianist, currently based in Phoenix, Arizona. Her initial experiences playing opera began in the pit as a violist in college, but her recent performances have been as a rehearsal and performance pianist! Some opera highlights include working with Curt Tucker in a piano-violin realization of his one-act opera, A Stranger’s Tale, and music directing The Magic Flute with Arizona Lyric Theatre. She is excited to branch out into the world of Wagner with TUNDI in this summer’s production of Der fliegende Holländer and song performances.

Having studied collaborative piano (Arizona State University, MM) and piano performance, Haley is currently an adjunct faculty member at Grand Canyon University where she works with soloists and teaches piano. She also works with Chandler Children’s Choir and schools in choral and musical productions like Mary Poppins and Les Misérables. In her free time, Haley enjoys spending time with loved ones and exploring new places and cuisines.
