He received his BMUS from UMass in 1975 and has been a free-lance Trumpeter since the early seventies. He is a long standing member of the Pioneer Valley Brass quintet and has played Trumpet with numerous community bands in Central and Western Mass. He has also subbed with the Pioneer Valley Symphony as well as the Windham Philharmonic Orchestra. Dick is retired and lives with his wife, Elise, and they have 2 daughters and 2 grandsons.
